Thursday, April 10th - Friday, April 11th
This public 2 day, 1 night camping expedition will take you across the beautiful Okefenokee Swamp! We will launch on the east side of Okefenokee from the Suwannee Canal Recreation Area, paddle our canoes and kayaks 10 miles west to Canal Run Canoe Shelter in the middle of the Swamp, camp, and the next day, paddle 7 miles west through cypress forest, to Billy’s Lake, and then ending at Stephen C. Foster State Park. A shuttle will be required since we will be starting and ending on opposite sides of the Swamp, and the cost of the shuttle will be shared equally amongst all campers.
The fee for this trip is $350.00 per person (plus tax), plus the divided cost of the shuttle (to be determined once a final count of registrants is complete). Discount offered for if you bring your own camping equipment and/or kayak/canoe. Fee covers your canoe or kayak, paddles, PFDs, paddling instruction, swamp guidance and local naturalist experience and expertise, meals, snacks, drinks, wilderness permit fee, and camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, headlamps, etc).
Paddling experience is not required, but is helpful. Moderate physical fitness is required. Participants must be able to swim.

"Jenny was an amazing guide for the kayak tour of the Okefenokee. Her love of the swamp and her job showing it off just shines through. Loved our tour this morning. She told us to take our time and enjoy the silence and beauty of the experience. we never felt rushed. She knows her plants, birds and animals and gets genuinely excited to point them out! Alligators grunting just feet from us was AMAZING! Seeing baby hawks in their nest was beyond description. Too many things to name. I highly recommend Jenny (and new guide in training Michael) if you want the best! Thank you Jenny! Awesome guide!"
