BLOOD MOON CAMPING TRIP
Thursday, March 13th - Friday, March 14th
Space lovers, here's another all-inclusive trip happening in the Okefenokee Swamp! This trip is to experience a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE in a certified International Dark Sky Park!
Stephen C. Foster State Park's Pioneer site (group campsite) will be our base camp for a night under the stars... and a BLOOD MOON! We'll day paddle on Thursday (or you can take a boat tour if paddling ain't your thing), have a hearty supper at camp, relax around the campfire and enjoy a fireside educational program, enjoy the peak of the eclipse at 3 AM (or just sleep if you’d rather do that!), enjoy a hot breakfast at camp, and have boat tours to see Minnie’s Lake on day 2 (around a 3 hour boat trip).
The fee for this trip is $300.00 per person (plus tax). The fee covers your canoe or kayak, paddles, PFDs, paddling instruction, swamp guidance and naturalist expertise, meals, snacks, drinks, educational fireside program, campsite fee, guides for the extra boats on day 2, and camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, headlamps, etc). If you are interested in coming just to camp and enjoy the fireside program and supper, but not paddle or take the boat tours, email for a special pricing!
DEPOSIT and CANCELLATION POLICY
50% of a trip's fee must be paid within 60 days of the date of a trip, with the final payment being made within the final 30 days to the trip date. At least 72 hours advance notice must be given to receive a full refund. For cancellations within 72 hours of the start of a trip, 50% of the trip cost must be charged and 50% of the trip cost may be applied to a future trip within two years. In the event of needing to cancel a trip due to severe inclement weather, a full refund will be issued.
